Giving up their Christmas Day.....
Christmas Day is traditionally, regardless of personal beliefs or customs, a day when we can all take a break and spend some quality time with family with good food, drink and leisure activities. Those working at Kempton Park for the King George VI Chase will see it as a break between the preparations going on until Christmas Eve and re-starting the very next day on Boxing Day. But it is important to recognise those who give up their Christmas Day to support our operations and allow the rest of us to enjoy quality time.
It has become an annual custom to be visited by a member of the Senior Management Team on Christmas Day with the Chairman and Managing Director alternating the last few years, however, there were significant additional shifts this year at various sites due to the COVID vaccination and testing sites in Surrey and North Greenwich as well as our normal Xmas Day cover at The O2, Kempton Park, Sandown Park and Epsom Downs Racecourses.
Tony Nikolic, our Managing Director, was supported by Viren Patel, Commercial Operations Manager at The 02, and Kara Dewey to ensure we delivered a little cheer (in the form of boxes of choccies) to our team on Christmas Day by way of a thank you.
A tradition we aim to continue each year. Caring Safe Professional
