Loftus Road beckons........
I can remember my first visit to Loftus Road in 1975 to see Yes in concert (those were the days!) swiftly followed by a visit in 1976 to see a friendly against Red Star Belgrade. Those days in the old First Division (the equivalent of today's Premier League for you youngsters) saw Queens Park Rangers playing with a mix of legends in their later years (John Hollins, Frank McLintock, David Webb) alongside younger stars (Stan Bowles, Gerry Francis, Dave Clement and Phil Parkes).
Whilst the team and Stadium have seen many changes, the surrounding area has remained much the same, butting onto Shepherds Bush and White City (an area Pete Townshend of The Who wrote an album about). The surrounding roads, other than today's restrictions, are as they were 50 years ago. Kuda Chiwandire, our key Operations Manager in West London, is always excited when he can add to his portfolio in this area, so was very excited to be given the opportunity to show what we can do this season. This is now progressing into a term contract, and QPR will be a great addition to our football portfolio alongside Arsenal, Birmingham City, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Reading, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham (London Stadium) and Watford.
Thank you QPR for the opportunity and let's hope this one goes into extra time.
