Service summary
We were appointed to recruit and deliver managers, supervisors and traffic marshalling team over a 23-day period, to manage the build, event days and breakdown of six transport hubs, a major vehicle search site, and 13 vehicle permit check points that facilitated the 24-hour movement of protected world leaders, operational vehicles and deliveries, operating a Vehicle Access Parking Permit (VAPP) system.
Working in tandem with Police Scotland and Royalty & Specialist Protection (RaSP), we assisted in delivering the Local Area Traffic Management Plan (LATMP) for all venues at COP26, which included the staging and dispatching of 100 protected world leaders’ vehicle convoys, whilst managing background traffic to keep the road network running, minimising the event’s impact on the local community.
All staff were accredited to government standards via the Police, and we delivered over 2,600 shifts during the 23 days, delivering a very successful operation.
